Glycine/Glutamate: “Green” Alternatives to Recover Metals from Minerals/Residues—Review of Current Research

Currently, the use of called “green solvents” is a challenge that must be assumed by industry, since they contribute to friendly process and where its has been extended, causing research needs, recognition application analysis potential new uses. The main objective this study was analyze global scientific production related glycine or glutamate, amino acids are used in mineral/waste leaching processes for recovery metals interest, an environmentally manner. A literature search performed using Web science database. Australia identified as country occupies first place with 17 (41.4%) published documents. For part, Hydrometallurgy journal 13 (34.2%) documents Minerals Engineering 10 (26.6%) journals highest number published. In turn, Curtin University 14 (36.8%) institution presents greatest leadership respect publications. This offers approach efforts aimed at area research, which last 5 years (2018–2022) developed most publications effort increase productivity necessary.
